Werner Distler

Dr. Werner Distler has been Assistant Professor of International Politics at the University of Groningen (Netherlands) since 2022, where he most recently led the project “Hidden Archives of Peace and Conflict”. From 2010 to 2022 he worked at the Centre for Conflict Studies and at the Collaborative Research Centre 138 “Dynamics of Security” at the University of Marburg. His dissertation focuses on the social practice of interventions. He studied political science at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich.
