Professor emeritus of General and Cultural Psychology at the University of Cologne and honorary professor at the University of Heidelberg (General Literary Studies; General Psychology). Research focus: psychological anthropology (models of the subject), cognitive psychology (subjective theories), psychology of language and literature (text processing, reading socialisation), philosophy of science and methodology; empirical literary studies and peace psychology.
